Genuinely so many people say Hinduism didn’t create the caste system and that it was the British and all that. But like, where does this narrative come from and how are you supposed to respond to them?

Edit: I want to clarify I live in the US so I am surrounded by UC/Brahmins who love pushing this agenda and painting their religion as peaceful and varna as some untainted thing. Also there are so many that larp as *hindu* atheists which fucking pisses me off like how does that even work.
