I need some help and advice. I have a 3-month-old puppy, a Border Collie–Husky mix. She’s wonderful—no accidents—but she wakes up every day at 5 a.m., sometimes even earlier.
I’ve tried letting her out of the crate. She goes to pee and comes back, but then she just keeps barking. It’s impossible to sleep. I’ve tried ignoring it, but the barking doesn’t stop—she just wants to get out, even though she sleeps through the whole night without waking up.
It also doesn’t make a difference whether she goes to bed at 9 p.m. or 10 p.m.—she still wakes up at the same time.
I only open the crate when she’s calm, but it doesn’t help. It’s not just barking—it’s more like howling.
Will this just be her schedule while she’s a puppy, or will it always be like this?
