Hi all, would appreciate some advice from those who’ve been in similar situations.

I’m currently in a full-time role that was initially expected to end around mid-year, but has now been extended till Sep 2026 while I explore opportunities in Singapore.

I’m trying to figure out the best approach:

Should I start actively job hunting now, or focus on internal opportunities first?

How early do people typically start applying in this kind of situation?

Any advice on balancing internal mobility vs external search?

For context, I’m in UX / data product space.

Would really appreciate any practical advice or experiences. Thanks!
