Good evening. I volunteer at an animal shelter and am in charge of maintenance and such. Recently, I stumbled into a rather big ant mound, not sure what species, smack in the middle of one of our yards and they bit the heck out of me. I'm worried about the dogs digging into it and getting bit too. I'd like to try to get rid of the mound, but most of the options aren't great around dogs, and the longest I can ensure they won't be in it is just overnight. Are there any good options for getting rid of the mound without posing an issue for the dogs?
