First I installed an sd card adapter, all working fine, installed rockbox and everything worked, then installed a bigger battery and usb-c, the usb-c is just a small breakout board from aliexpress, already includes the 5.1k pull down resistors and everything, soldered the 4 wires and it charges fine, but asks to be reseted with itunes and doesn't show up in the computer, not even as an unknown device.
Got an old cable and cutted it to check continuity, I followed the D+ and D- traces to the next component after the connector, dont know what that little rectangle is called, but checked continuity from the cable I cutted to that component and both D+ and D- have continuity, so the soldering job on the usb-c connector is fine, also checked that they are not bridged(they are not), so having continuity, not bridged, and charging correctly(meaning that 5v and ground are correctly soldered) I am out of ideas of why it doesn't show up in the computer, it did work with the original connector, but now I've tried several cables and both my desktop and laptop computers, it doesn't connect to itunes or even show in device manager, also, even forcing disk mode, it always shows the "ok to disconnect" but never the "dont disconnect", so the ipod itself doesnt recognize that its connected to a usb device.
Any ideas on what to test?
