For some background, I'm high school class of 2029. I'm practically maxing out the rigor at my school doing the most advanced stem courses available, even opting to do summer classes to be more advanced (ranked 1/521 in my class, trying as hard as I can to keep that). I want to work in a machine learning engineering sector. I have a side-hustle/business that I run selling computers. I also plan on making a little summer project using AI that prompts exercises, analyzes video, gives advice on correcting form, other exercises to try, and other workout activities of the sorts. I have a huge passion for fitness and computer science and would love to introduce these hobbies later in my career.

now for the question, how exactly could I begin to stand out amongst applicants when the the time comes in about 3 years? I know MIT has summer math programs like mathroots that I plan on applying to just to build a sense of familiarity and hopefully build some relationships with the professors to help me (though I know the acceptance rate of this program is low). I also plan on joining AMC 10 representing my school

Enough with the fluff though, I've prompted chatGPT enough times with "build a school career path to follow to get into MIT," I want to learn from the people who have actually gotten in/know the application process.

should probably also mention i plan to participate in lab research at my university campus

All help is appreciated and I await your responses!
