So I posted these Keen Jasper Zionics the day I bought them not long ago, but my (flat) arches were spilling over the side so I returned them to SportChek where I bought them.
After an exhaustive and unsuccessful search to find something similar but more wide foot friendly.. I thought, shit, maybe I just need to swap the stock insoles for arch support ones.
So I went back to SportChek, and bought them back on “clearance” for less than I paid. Not sure if that’s a sustainable cost saving hack or not.
I then threw in a thin but stiff Kneed Move insole, and I think I’m gold now. So for those of you with brick feet, maybe keep that in mind if a shoe you’re trying on isn’t working in the midfoot. I can handle a snug toebox but a comfortable midfoot is imperative.
Anyway… as for these shoes. I won’t lie, coming from MiUSA NBs, even SB Dunks, the quality feels a little cheap on these. Maybe a bit steep at full retail but at 30%-40% off? Sure thing.
Saw a post of this cw getting ruined by the dark blue dye bleeding out, but I gave the whole upper a healthy serving of spray protector so hopefully that won’t be the case.
Until the perfect gorp trainer comes along, this might be the bar to raise.
