Don’t want to use a rental set. Tried out a buddies set and it was fantastic. I’ve seen some posts and it’s clear the major recommendation is cressi, but what set should I get for travel? Mostly looking on amazon because I’m on a time crunch.

Few that I’m considering:

Cressi ocean set
Cressi Palau
Cressi SAF

Thanks in advance all! Hopefully this one doesn’t get removed :).

Hi all, I’d say I’m largely new to golf. Played several times and a few in the last year. I usually borrow clubs or rent them and I’m looking at getting my first set.

I am primarily looking at the callaway edge set from Costco for clubs, but could also justify piecing a used/last year set together from a shop/refurb.

The two real questions are:

  1. should I just go to a shop and get fitted and use whatever they think is best? Or send it with the edge set and go from there.

  2. was looking at the pebble beach and Sunday golf pacific bag at Costco - does anyone have experience with either of these?

I’ll add, I make contact with the ball 90% of the time but half of those are sliced terrible - still trying to work out my swing and so I’m really feeling like a set of beginner clubs like the edge would suit me well. Just trying to have a set I can have fun with and don’t need to swing perfect every time.
