I’m so thrilled with my genioplasty results I’ve lived over 45 years being very self conscious of my lower jaw. I often was not really present during in person conversations because I was so focused on how my chin looked to others. It’s was exhausting… I am 1 month post op sliding genioplasty where my surgeon made a t cut to taper my wide jaw… I still have a significant amount of swelling on the tip of my chin and under my chin. Despite that, I can clearly see that the surgery was a success. Healing has been a journey for me. I’ve been told that my swelling may have been more intense and will linger longer because my surgeon made 4 cuts to my jaw….
