Good riddance
This may be an unpopular opinion.
While lodges surrendering their charters are lamentable occasions, lodge consolidation has a bright side.
These old buildings are albatrosses around the Craft's neck. It is almost like Freemasonry has become a historic building preservation society.
Those are not the buildings we are meant to perfect.
