I visited DA Dosan clinic (located in Gangnam) as an international patient and wanted to share my experience for others considering treatment.
I paid a total of 5,335,000 KRW for a combination of treatments (XERF 600 shots, botox, and 1cc chin filler). After receiving a detailed breakdown later, I realized that a large portion of the cost (4,400,000 KRW) was for the XERF treatment alone, which is significantly higher than what comparable clinics in Seoul typically charge. The botox and filler pricing was also on the higher end, especially considering that domestic brands were used.
In terms of results, I experienced asymmetry after treatment. I developed uneven, crooked lip movement following DAO botox, which affects my expressions and will require additional expenses on my end for correction elsewhere. I’m not based in Korea, so I’m unable to return to the clinic to get this resolved. I informed the clinic of this issue, but received zero follow-up response.
I also want to highlight the consultation and timing. Prior to my appointment, I shared the treatments I was interested in, asked how much time to budget, and I was advised that approximately three hours would be sufficient. As a patient, I relied on that guidance. However, both the consultation and treatment process felt very rushed, with limited opportunity to fully understand the plan or ask questions before proceeding.
Given the time constraints, I would have expected clearer guidance on what could realistically be completed while maintaining quality. A more thoughtful approach—such as prioritizing certain treatments or adjusting the plan—would have made a significant difference.
Overall, the pricing, pacing, and outcome did not align with the level of care I expected. I would recommend that future patients request a detailed breakdown of pricing, units, and product types in advance, and ensure that sufficient time is allocated for both consultation and treatment.
