Iam a junior software developer, just graduated from teir 3 engineering college. the company pays 15k/month in my hometown . in 2025 i gave CAT scored only 40-50 percentile after preparing from a coaching which costed in 1lakh (i know i wasted a lot of money, loved quant but never solved question, was def overconfident as a engineer). this year 2026 , iam planning to give CAT again . idk if i like software development , its been almost 4 months since i started as developer and i feel kinda neutral. i dont like software dev. because i use AI for everything and kinda feel like escaping the struggle. Also i feel the learning has slow down due to overuse of ai. i want to give CAT because , 1. i want to escape my hometown 2. always felt like i need to be an entrepreneur ( i somewhat have a business mind) 3. if not entrepreneur , i'll get a good package 4. i want to go out of India, for work, or maybe settle in Europe. Every night i feel that their is some , untapped potential in me that needs chanelling . And ofc I need to focus on 1 thing , so confused rn . Iam depressed today because i got payed 10k as intern , but as a junior s/w developer i expected more, today i got promoted but iam depressed at 15k.
