Cribbage players!
Hi friends! I've been really itching to play cribbage, but I dont have friends here that like it, or will even learn it... so to scratch that itch hopefully I can get a random internet stranger, or even a group of strangers!
I'd love to get anyone who wants to play (OR LEARN!) together for a little cribbage fun play at MEMORIAL UNION TERRACE! To be honest, I kind of expect no one to show and if no one does I'll at least have a nice evening sunset at the terrace. BUUUUT if people do show up, here's a little information of what I'd like to see it become.
I only have 1 cribbage board, so please bring one with you (in case more than 4 people show up).
If a significant amount of people (more than 5) show up, I'd love for this to also be kinda like an item exchange as well. Everyone brings something they don't use at home anymore (BUT ISNT TRASH) and it becomes a prize! (If everyone brings something, no one loses!) Personally, I have a chess set I bought in Jamaica that's maybe 7in x 7in and mini stone pieces that I'll be bringing. If no one brings "prizes" then my chess set will just go to 1st place and that's it. If everyone brings something we go down the leader board letting people choose their own prize from what everyone brought.
If more than 5 people show up, we can do a tournament for prizes above! Rules as follows: 0pts-lose, 1pts-win, 2pts-win+skunk ; count pegging points of your win (higher points is better - means you won by a larger margin). Highest pts + Peg points wins (pts, and peg points stay separated). Final score will look something like 4:77. We're in the midwest, so we play midwest kind and always give missed points (ie, if someone counts wrong and misses nobs or something, always point it out) 3-5 games will be played (subject to change for timing sake, idk how long it'd take)
Tomorrow, Wednesday 12th at 6pm, I will be at Der Rathskellar at some tables in front of the stage. If tournament occurs, games BEGIN AT 6:30PM.
If it's busy and no seats are available in front of the stage (if facing the stage) turn left (90°)and keep walking and hopefully you catch me there. Obviously look for the cribbage board 😂
