I'm burned out on mobile games that punish you for being busy

Probably not a hot take, but I am so tired of mobile games built around constant check-ins.

I'm a mom in Texas. Most of my gaming happens in the school pickup line or while dinner's in the oven. I want something I can play for 10 to 15 minutes, feel like I made progress, and then put down without it turning into a penalty.

Instead it's the same cycle: stamina or energy that refills every few hours, daily quests that reset at odd times, timers that finish when I am nowhere near my phone, and popups that basically guilt you into spending money. Even games I like start to feel like another obligation. I do not want a second job. I just want to unwind.

What really bothers me is how deliberate it feels. Miss one day and suddenly you're in a hole: your guild is annoyed, event currency goes to waste, your login streak breaks, your base gets raided, whatever. Relaxing turns into guilt.

Am I the only one who quits the moment a game piles on too many dailies? What are you all playing that actually respects your time and does not punish you for being offline? Bonus points if it works one-handed and does not make my phone feel like a toaster.
