I’m looking for door alternatives for this space between my small kitchen and the stairs to the unfinished basement. Having it swing the other way is not an option (see ceiling). I’m looking into pocket doors, but I don’t think there’s space for them?! (The fridge sticks out much further than the wall, so no sliding barn doors either.) I use the door frequently (as laundry is in the basement), but I would Love to be able to put in shelving on the wall next to the window, as kitchen space is sooooo limited. Any suggestions??!
