Recent Loss Journey

Last month I started actually caring about losing weight again for the first time in about 6 years. I’m 29m and am frightened of starting my 30s being so disgustingly overweight. I started at 450lb and am down to 419 after a month or so. In 2020 I was able to go from 395 to 340 in 5.5 months, mostly due to one meal a day and about 12 tennis matches a week.
I started with just one meal a day and some light walking, then started making sure to get my protein, and now my fiber. I’m walking 30 min a day 3-4 times a week and playing tennis 2-3 times a week (not super well at my size but it’s the effort that matters). Hoping to up the walking soon as well.
Mostly I’m eating between 1300-1700 calories which is resulting in a huge calorie deficit. I’m also doing fasting, between 20-23 hours per day. That’s been a little harder as I’ve added a bigger variety of foods with a variety of volume, but I eat it all within a 4 hour window. The fasting I think has helped me stay consistent, there’s no chance of a late night fast food run or snacking if I stay consistent with that. On tennis days sometimes I’ll have a light snack an hour before playing, then eat my meal afterwards.
I’ve been experimenting with different foods, trying a bunch of protein shakes and bars to get that last bit of protein every day. I don’t think protein bars are for me, they all taste awful. I’m trying to find different spice combinations as well for different foods to change up some flavors. I recently got Kinder’s Lemon Butter Garlic seasoning and that’s been incredible.
Would love to hear some tips and foods you guys have used to lose weight and keep it off, I’m discovering more every day, especially those high in protein or fiber.
