PLZ give an HONEST OPINION on my CAREER and future paths

Hi,

First thanks for spending your valuable time for me :)

I am from Korea, 29 years old.

Have experience of working as a presenter, associate marketer and lieutenant in the Korean Army.

I wanted to do something meaningful and honorable for my country, so I applied to be enlisted in the ARMY. Worked for 2 and a half year and got dismissed.

After, I wanted to become a Content Creator since I loved filming and operating my social accounts. However, I couldn't earn much money and eventually applied to a corporate job.

I did not give up but, I feel too weak(?) and vulnerable to do it yet..

This is my short resume

2020 Mar - 2022 June | Korean ARMY First Lieutenant

2023 Jan - 2023 July | PR Agency'medicom' Account Executive

2023 Sep - 2023 Dec | PR Agency 'Edelman' Account Executive Intern

2024 Sep - 2025 Mar | News Paper Company 'Herald' SNS Operator (Contract)

2025 Apr - 2025 Sep | Samsung Partner Company 'In&Com' Presenter

2025 Oct - Current | Defense Company 'Hanwha Systems' Presenter

Things I’m trying to figure out:

  1. Is a Master’s in Communication or MBA worth it in the US? (in my situation since I am currently in a contract role)
  2. Will it boost my career prospects or salary in the long run?
  3. Would the degree help me get into a communications/marketing role in the US?
  4. Or is it better to continue gaining experience in South Korea and aim for a degree in the future after the current administration?

Would really appreciate honest advice on this.

Thanks! : )
