Hi all,

I’m looking for recommendations on which lawyer to go with for an EB-2 NIW petition and would really appreciate insights from this community.

Background:

I’m an applied data scientist with 6+ years of experience at a commercial bank, currently working in a lead role. I hold a Master’s degree from an Ivy League school. My work focuses on building data-driven risk and decisioning frameworks, particularly in financial services. I don’t have any external publications as what I do is proprietary.

Proposed Endeavor:

I’m planning to position my NIW around developing and scaling AI/ML-driven frameworks for risk assessment and early warning systems that can improve financial stability, credit risk monitoring, and broader economic resilience.

Current Situation:

I previously filed an employer-sponsored NIW, but it was denied. The denial felt somewhat boilerplate, mainly stating that I did not sufficiently demonstrate impact beyond my employer or broader national importance.

Now I’m considering re-filing with a stronger, more independently positioned case, and want to make sure I choose the right attorney this time.

Ask:

- Which lawyers/law firms have you had good experiences with for NIW (especially for data science/AI profiles in finance risk management)?

- Anyone successfully refiled after a similar denial?

- Any red flags or things I should watch out for when choosing a lawyer?

Thanks in advance for your help, really appreciate any guidance!
