Does anyone with average intelligence and poor social skills make good salary. Like being awkward and not articulate.
Average intelligence = can get A’s in theoretical engineering courses but cannot design anything from scratc.
Can understand complex concepts but takes time.
Can solve most engineering problems if given enough time.
EDIT: People being nasty and complaining about me sounding dumb - it is not a hot take, it is literally the problem that I have. My communication skills hide my ability to do technical jobs.
The point of this post was to find people who can relate and to solicit career ideas for individuals like me.
I know I am not alone in struggling to communicate well, relate, build connections - it is common for people on spectrum although I am not diagnosed.
Telling me to improve com skills is no different than telling a depressed person to stop being sad. I am nearly middle aged and I constantly take classes & try - it would have gotten better if it could.
