so, I have recently started practicing overtones on my alto saxophone, and I understand what it is supposed to sound like, and what pitches it’s supposed to be. I have been playing for about 5 months now, but since I have played other instruments I have picked it up quickly. When practicing overtones, my low Bb always wants to jump straight to the F# the octave above when I do overtones, not even the Bb above. the same happens with B, C, and C#. I finally nailed the overtones jumping just one octave, like D-D, F-F, etc. today, I was trying the D-A, and I finally got it, but now I am having trouble going back to D-D. How can I fix this, or what am I doing wrong. sorry if any of the terminology is confusing, Idk what the proper terms for anything are at the moment.
