Guy pulled over super excited about mushrooms on my property...what are they?
Santa cruz California. Biome under some redwood trees but soil is a mix from random dirt fill with scattered redwood detriment on top.
Lots of compost and chickens in the yard so possible cross contamination from something we threw out.
They pop up after rains (duh) but still tend to tolerate dry conditions at least for a couple days or maybe a week. I usually let them just kinda turn black and die but maybe I should harvest or give them to my chickens? Thanks in advance ☺️
