I just bought this forklift. Drove it tested it, had no leaks I could notice. There was old residual under the machine, but it’s from 2004, so I wasn’t surprised. Took it back to my shop, cleaned it up changed the engine oil, spark plugs, air filter, checked all the fluids and fixed some broken wires. When it came time to finally using it after I loaded some pallets onto my shelves I noticed some drops where I had been. Looking on top of the transmission it’s still clean and dry from when I wiped it all down, the leak seems to be coming from below. I just want someone’s 2 cents on if this drain plug might be the culprit or something worse. I’m hoping for the best, expecting the worst. I will figure out what fluid it takes and remove that plug and inspect it when I can
