Connections

To simplify uber driving down to slave labor or a menial task is a true waste of an opportunity.
Even if we don’t exchange numbers, we exchange energy, support, uplift, connect.
Authentic human interactions are too rare, and if I can fill my time with connecting and uplifting conversations, it lifts everyone and more.
The snowball effect is real: lift up another soul, they’ll turn around and do the same. Too often we are quick to see the negative and turn away from others, when we have so many opportunities to do more.

A pleasure

Driving for uber is almost a dream come true. I’ve always held great pride in my driving skills and friends have enjoyed being my passenger, so it’s a delight to be one of the few female uber drivers where I can also be selective. It feels like I’m doing something important, even if the pay could be better, it’s a good step in the right direction. I find my riders are very appreciative, and so are their loved ones.

Common sense

So apparently it’s not cool to just have common sense, and be practical and considerate anymore. Now you must have coddle sense, sense to see what area of ineptitude a person has and keep them in their mediocre comfort lane.
If anyone speaks up for observation of practical, special awareness of themselves that person gets crucified.
Everyone defends the inept.
Why do people attempt to shame competency?
Life is getting too lame. It hurts my brain to see people defend incompetence.
Ahhhhh

When not in crosswalk

Pedestrians seem to be confused, they think they can cross the street whenever and wherever, regardless of traffic. This is not so.

Yes, if you are capable of crossing a street without impeding traffic, go for it… but if you decide to randomly cross, as a vehicle is coming, don’t expect the vehicle to stop.

Won’t hit pedestrian but will not enable inconsideration.

It seems that the homeless LOVE stepping onto crosswalks when lights turn green. The conscious choice to be inconsiderate is mind blowing. If they can choose that, they could make other excellent choices as well.

Does anyone else experience a certain desperate rage when looking for a parking spot in Portland Maine?
Especially when you see spaces like this, where another car could easily fit if parked correctly?
I figured there’d be the occasional gap, but when it’s consistently every street it’s easy to truly despise the lack of awareness of self consuming thinking.
Or is it that I’m just so tired after working and then have to walk over half a mile home that it feels like unnecessary torture?

What’s up with New Hampshire drivers?

They stop at yield signs, drive slow in the left and refuse to yield to incoming traffic! Pretty much refuse to merge in general!

My least favorite state to drive in for a good 30 years.
