I’m trying to understand realistically how my profile might impact SIP shortlists and final placements, especially for finance roles at IMT BFS.

Profile:

10/12/Grad: 7/7/6 (GNEM)

Fresher

Gap: 1 year

CFA Level 2 cleared

I know my academics aren’t very strong, so I want to understand:

How much will this hurt me during SIP shortlists?

Does CFA Level 2 help offset low acads in finance roles?

What kind of finance roles can I realistically target (e.g., IB, markets, research, risk, corporate finance, etc.)?

Are there specific roles where shortlists are more profile-based vs skill-based?

What should I focus on from day 1 to maximize my chances?
