Choreographing kids musicals?

hi! I’m volunteering for a junior version of seussical, and since there were no dancers volunteering, they’re having me choreograph. most of the kids are pretty young and the majority aren’t experienced with dance. Unfortunately, neither am I, since I haven’t taken any dance classes in 4 years. I have some experience dancing in shows, but I haven’t done so in a year or so. Most of it will be super simple (like bouncing and hand windmills), but does anyone have any tips for creating choreography for young kids/teenagers?

Going by a different name in college?

I’m about to be a senior in high school, and I hope to go by a new nickname in college. My name is pretty, but I’m a white girl with a “black” name (there’s a rapper/r&b singer with the same name as me) so I get a lot of comments from people asking why I’m named that. Also I have a really ugly last name so my full name is a total mouthful. Its too late to change it in my own town, but maybe in college I can go by a nickname or my middle name. has anyone else tried to do this?

I’m a hs rower who also loves to lift and build muscle. We’ve been doing lots of hard ergs and water pieces daily, and coaches are discouraging extra workouts. Also I find my erg performance usually suffers the day after lifting heavy, bc of muscle soreness. I don’t want to lose my strength and progress from lifting though. Should I try working in a day or two of lifting or just wait until the season is over?
