I am on a temporary contract and entitled to the beginning teacher RFF (confirmed by email to me from DET) and I understand the timing of it can be at the principals discretion but I have had 5 hours of it in total so far this year. it’s now Week 2 of term 2. I have raised it numerous times in emails to the DP and my AP and the response is ‘thanks for the reminder we’re working on it”. What should my next move be? I’ve also missed out a few hours here and there of my standard 2 hrs of RFF due to staffing issues or assembly’s being held, photos, Anzac services etc. the principal sends a message to all staff that they must attend regardless of RFF, but unlucky for me it always seems to fall on my RFF and it’s not paid back or mentioned again. Is this normal or should I be taking this up with someone?
