My sister is pregnant for the first time and our whole family is big into secondhand shopping. She/we plan to get a lot of baby clothes and supplies secondhand (when safe/appropriate).

We're excited about finding vintage baby clothes and more unique pieces than what's currently in the mall. While my sister has specifically requested we hunt for these kinds of gifts, more generally, is it considered a faux pas to gift mom's secondhand children's items?
