Help me make sure this macbook pro m3 im buying off of marketplace is safe! the dude look s super nice but im mainly worried about the security aspect. He says that the macbook was given to him from his company. After talking to my father he brought up the question of MDM locks (whatever that means). I was wondering, how do I verify whether the company is still in "possession" of this macbook. How do i make sure what im buying is safe and that the company wont say its stolen.
After talking with the guy, he mentioned that after laptop upgrades are given to him from his company, they allow the purchase of the old laptop. He bought the laptop after using it for his company for 1.5 years. Is that even believable? do companies actually do that?
Its a m3 macbook pro 512gb ssd 18gb of ram with 96% battery health. Im buying it for 1500CAD.
