I have this opportunity to go on my first ever bikepacking trip through Taiwan with a friend and we're considering starting from Kaoshiung through the eastern side and meet up with Family in Taipei. We're not planning to bring much as we're going to depend on staying at some hostels / hotels.

Sadly, he no longer can go and I'm still quite excited and I'm at the point considering to do it solo. It's probably not the best idea but I'd like to know the thought of the people here. If I go solo, how and what should I prepare for? Any tips for a total first-timer doing solo?
