I've seen people say that the AI misses too often, but like...most of the factions don't even have magnified optics on their guns. No shit they're missing most of their shots at 100+ meter engagements or against a moving target.
Outside of the LAF, most of the guys we fight aren't even military-trained, too. The dudes with Skorpions and MP5s are literally hip-firing. It's kind of a miracle that they manage to hit anything at all, really.
I've been keeping track of where and when I get shot, too. Most of the time it's within 100 meters, or because I fucked up and missed a guy who was standing there lining up a shot while I looked in the wrong direction. If peeking cover or in the trees it's usually my arms taking the bullet. If I'm approaching crouched and get fired upon, it's either my arms or legs.
I've actually taken more hits to the head than to the plate carrier, because if at a reasonable distance and using a rifle the AI seems to prefer taking time to aim as long as they're not under fire.
What I'm getting at is, the AI's aim is acceptable right now. The ones who should be landing hits more often than not at range will if you aren't strafing and/or suppressing them. The SMG guys are deadly up close and can occasionally get lucky at a distance because they like to go full auto.
What does need to change imo is the AI's willingness to actually fight. Most of the time the gangsters with close-up weapons seem to stand around yelling for you to come to them, which makes it hilariously easy to scoot around and shoot them from the flank, because they're broadcasting their position at all times with loud voice lines.
What I want to see is gangsters grouping up and running at isolated PMCs. LAF guys should be flanking and suppressing even without sight on an enemy. LLA should constantly be moving and shooting. Basically the enemy factions ought to act more like their faction identities, and not mostly stand around in the open trying to spot the player even when they're trained military guys.
