Hello, this is my first post! I’m glad to have found this group.
I’m 38.5, AMH approximately 1 ng/ml. My AFC has been a bit all over: 6, then 5, 4, 10, and 6.
I primed my cycle for 26 days with estrogen and testosterone daily, and added progesterone for the last 12 days. Then I did 4 days of stims: Gonal‑F 450 IU and Luveris 150 IU daily (I’m in Canada; Luveris is synthetic LH).
On my day‑5 checkup I had low estrogen and no follicle growth, so the cycle was cancelled.
My RE now wants to start me on a new protocol next cycle with no priming, likely a micro‑dose Lupron flare protocol.
Has anyone been in a similar situation (long priming + cancelled for non‑response) and then gone on to have eggs retrieved with a micro‑flare (or other) protocol in the following cycle?
Also, any arguments for or against taking a “reset” cycle first and starting again the subsequent cycle instead of jumping straight in on the next day‑1?
