Would love some guidance to help quieten my mind on this.

If there are a finite number of mind streams, and time is infinite, and during each aeon a Buddha may appear resulting in at least one and many more people escaping Samsara, surely this would mean that all people should be enlightened? Since the time span is infinite, I have a hard time believing that if something can occur, it surely must have already occurred with infinite variations?

The only solutions I can think of that make sense are that something is reset after aeons, or that there is a powerful counterpart to Buddhas (e.g. Mara), or that new mind streams so come into existence.
