Red and White Growth for Seven Weeks

Hello Reddit Dentists, I have had a red and white lump/growth between two molars for the last seven weeks (growth texture is medium/hard). I first noticed this lump when I flossed and I noticed/tasted blood. The lump is painless and has not grown beyond this. I went to my general dentist two weeks ago (4/24/26) and they performed a deep cleaning, diode laser and prescribed me chlorohexidine mouthwash. I have used the chlorohexidine twice a day for two weeks (each time waiting 30 minutes after brushing). I have not seen any improvement and the images shown were taken today (5/8/26) and I am starting to worry. At the end of the cleaning I asked my general dentist if she suspects a malignant growth and she stated "no". I have probed the growth with the sharp end of a floss pick and noticed that I can separate the growth from the molars. When I lift the growth I am able to see blood and experience no pain or sensitivity. I have scheduled an appointment with a periodontist this upcoming Thursday. If you are able to share your thought given this information and images I would highly appreciate it.
