Instagram scammer
I recently purchased 190$ worth of items from someone online - someone who I’ve also sold items to before so I have her full name, phone number, college, and address. I purchased January 31st through zelle, on Feb 7th she says she’s sick but will send out by the end of the week. After that she ghosted me till March 28th, and because it’s instagram I could see the whole time she was active and liking reels and some mutual friends said she was even purchasing more things from people through dms.
I reached out to another person who bought 174$ worth of stuff from her (I knew cause I saw their comment on her post) and she said she also had been ghosted. It took us threatening to call the police for her to respond saying she’d bought the labels for our packages, but the pictures of the label she sent say tracking not available when we put it in usps. On April 6th she said she’d send the packages out the next day, but it is now April 10th and the tracking still says unavailable and she is once again not responding.
I am wondering if since I have her address and all her info if filing a police report will be useful or just a waste? Or if there is something else I can do?
