I've been diagnosed at 36 after 1 manic episode. They tell me I must have been manic for 3 years and then it got bad and became psychotic when stress was too much. I've been pretty down ever since then.

I was hoping to learn more about bipolar other than severe manic and depressive episodes. What else is it about us? How else does it impact our brains or day to day?

Also...does anybody else feel like a zombie or muted feelings on abilify? What about abilify vs lithium? They want me on lithium but im afraid because once im on it im on it forever.
