Hiii, so I'm asking on behalf of my mother who is looking for help with her sleep apnea but cannot sleep anywhere besides on her stomach (earlier life trauma). She said she explicitly does not want the surgical implant, and I don't blame her with her other health problems and age it's just not the best move for her.

And unless this inquiry yields results, she'll just keep having moderate-severe sleep apnea with no help..🫤 scary.

I saw before, years ago, there's a device for posture support that sticks on your back and as soon as you start slouching, it just vibrates to remind you to stand up straight. There's also a device that people wear when they sleep so they don't sleep on their back..

CLEARLY we have the technology to have a device that picks up on chest (or back) rise and fall, and can vibrate (in varying intensity) to be wakeful enough to the user to get them breathing again...? Right?

My ex-boyfriend had sleep apnea, and whenever he would stop breathing I would just gently nudge him a little bit- NOT to wake him, but it did always wake his body up enough to trigger a breathing response to come back. He said he never once knew I did it. Can't this be done with a device, too?

TLDR: is there any sort of external, nonsurgical device to vibrate/alert when it stops detecting breathing motion to wake the user enough to trigger their body to breathe again? Please. Desperate.

Thank you in advance! 💛 And my momma thanks you too!
