I have a really cute/nerdy idea for a slider fidget. It’s simple, but I have no way of producing it myself. I don’t run a business and am not trying to start one. It would be for my own personal use.

Does anyone have advice for where I should look for someone who could turn the idea into a real object?

I browsed around Upwork and there are a lot of 3D modelers, but it looks like it’s for mostly character stuff.

The gimmick of the specific idea is the main draw for me, not really the quality of the sliding/smoothness/tricks. My budget is around $200 (which might be very unrealistic 😅).

Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

I discovered Tangles last week and I love them. They are only $4 at my local dollar general (for classics).

The two that I bought on the first day I have discovered them have lost that nice resistance they originally had. I have used them a LOT. One is now very floppy and not very satisfying and the other still has a little stiffness to it.

I’m not unhappy at all since they were so cheap. I don’t mind paying $4 for something that I enjoyed all week long.

But I was just wondering if the $40 metal one gets loose/floppy, too? I’m interested in it and thinking about buying it but will probably pass if it also gets a little floppy.
