My device supports hi-res audio through the Type-C port (digital audio output only), and I don’t want to spend money on an external DAC to use with a 3.5mm IEM.

I know most people will suggest getting a Type-C IEM, but the problem is that Type-C IEMs come with a built-in DAC, which is usually low quality and limited to around 24-bit/96kHz.

My device, however, supports up to 32-bit/384kHz audio. With a Type-C IEM, the internal DAC of the IEM is used instead of my device’s DAC.

So, is there any way to bypass this and use only the device’s internal DAC?

My device doesn’t support passive adapters, as I mentioned above it only provides digital audio output through the Type-C port.
