Raven appearing

Raven appearing

So bassically, today me and few other people went on picnic type of thing on the foot of caucasian mountains and near really big river (which is behind the camera in 300 meters or so). we drank beer, ate, I truly felt connected to the nature and gods, but strange thing happened, because the second we arrived there i saw raven flying across us, which of course i was happy of because i knew Odin was with me, but in an hour really heavy rain came which left us with nothing but to leave. My question is was Thor angry? Or why did this happen, because i had really big hope when i saw rain clouds far away from us that because of raven it wouldnt come but it came.

P.S im new to faith so i might have misinterpreted something so it would be good to help me :)

Question about the warrior's death in modern Heathenry genuine curiosity, not trying to start a fight.

I've been thinking about the fact that most of us might never die in armed combat. The sources describe Odin's valkyries choosing the battle-slain specifically. So where does that leave the modern practitioner?

Do you personally interpret Valhöll as:

a) Strictly for those killed in literal armed combat specific fate that simply doesn't apply to most modern people, and that's fine

b) Potentially available to those who die fighting something injustice, oppression, a cause bigger than themselves even without literal warfare

c) Something else entirely maybe Valhöll isn't the goal and the ancestor path / Hel is more spiritually meaningful anyway

Also curious whether you think this question even matters, or whether focusing on "how we live" rather than "where we go" is more authentic to the tradition.
