I recently got a job as an EE intern as a big consulting company. Before this I didn’t know how consulting engineering companies worked and just recently found out about billable projects and such. However now I’m done training my manager has told us interns there is no work for us. So this means we can’t bill anything and therefore don’t get paid. We just have to wait until there is. Is this normal? Am I missing something. Should I be billing training while I wait or do I just not get paid. Thanks.
