Hello again, this is a follow-up of my previous post. Some time has passed, and things have occurred. Like how the noisy stambays are still in front of our house. Texting the Police doesn't work, but calling does and the police dispatch our barangay tanods to come over. The stambays still evade them cuz it takes 30 mins for them to get over unfortunately. And the location of where the stambays are can see directly straight through the road where the tanods would be coming from. Also they have a lookout...

And so what have we done? Well, we're still scolding them. I opened up to my mom about my aggressive plan to keep them away from our house. And we got a little emotional and I wanna say that I'm keeping my cool right now. I want to have a future after all. We ofc tried recording them, but our methods are kinda shifty where we just pull out our phones and record them. Which does work in scaring them and they scatter away like the cockroaches that they are. But I don't want us to do this EVERYTIME they make noise. And I later found out that this procedure might not be prescribed by the law so we deleted the videos we took.

Our next approach is cctv footage. Infront of our house is a better house. Being a better house means having cctv! But we don't personally know the owner or if the cctv are decorative. We know that they almost never leave their home, but we would like to try to ask them for their cctv footage during nighttime of the bastards so that we can use it in filling the complaint. Or in court in case we can file a case of unjust vexation like some comments pointed out in my previous post.

I just have a few questions. Because I find human input is much better than AI summaries in pointing me to the right direction.

I wanna ask based on your guy's experience:

  • For people who've had similar experience as mine, did you report to the barangay?
  • Did reporting to the barangay solve the problem?
  • Did you escalate it to court? If so, how much did it cost you?
  • Can cctv footage be used against them? Especially now they've been moving about suspiciously, secretly passing money and small objects between themselves...
  • If my previously mentioned better housed neighbor won't share their cctv footage, I plan on buying the tp-link tapo c200. Install it in front of our house and slap a sign in front saying "CCTV Surveillance in this area!". Would that be okay? or legal? Can I use the cctv footage against them in barangay or in court?
  • When I do go to the barangay, how much detail will they ask from me? Like will they need the complete name and address of the person I'm filing a complaint about? What if I don't know the bastard?
  • If we do go to court, how much is the legal fee(s)?

I apologize for asking here. I understand that this isn't a place for actual legal advice. Still I am a somewhat anxious type of person. I like gathering as much info on something before doing something. Specifically gathering human experiences thru stories and personal thoughts during their experience. And I feel like this situation might require a lot of data gathering. I find myself somewhat lacking in knowledge of the legal procedures of our country. So I appreciate any input from you guys. Especially from my previous post. Thank you so much for the help and support. I will continue the fight(metaphorically and legally?) and try to update you guys if something does happen.
