First time Quake (1996) player here. I’m currently playing E4M3 “The Elder God Shrine”, which is my favorite so far. I’ve beaten Quake II like twice.

Anyways, was wondering what monster(s) you guys find the most unsettling/creepy from either Quake I and/or Quake II? For me personally, I think the fiends are pretty terrifying, especially when they chase you in the halls of E4M3.
