Fly rod advice, streamers

Hello everyone! I currently own a 5wt Fiberglass rod for trout and I even have a sink tip line for small streamers. I’m looking to get into streamer fishing for walleye and pike.
I’d generally be fishing for walleye using clouser minnows and I also have frequent opportunities to head up to Northern Sask where I’d like to try my hand at pike.
I’ve got no problem fishing these species on spinners, cranks and jigs but would love advice on fishing them on the fly.
Currently eyeing a 9wt to fight larger pike with a sink tip line, but I’ve read this may be too much for walleye.
I don’t own a boat so I’d be focused on rivers for the most part. Saskatchewan also gets a fair share of windy days. Still very new to the fly fishing world and just want to make sure I’m choosing the right rod before purchase. Thanks!
