Sent it a bit too hard

Had a lovely sail today and it was alot of fun until it wasn’t

Had a 30 mile down wind 140* run today. Cruising along 10-11 aws. With the assym spin up. A couple gusts into the high teens. Nothing unmanageable. Well almost unmanageable.

I knew I had small spit of land where I could Get behind to get some lower winds for the spin douse. Until the wind started clocking around a picking up and there was no easy way I was get behind the land.

My sock lines got twisted. And I couldn’t pull the sock down. So I had to wrestle the sail. But not before the clew found something.

4 panels. Time to break out the sewing machine. First pic was taken on Thursday. Second pic today

SOG maxed at 9.8. So I’ve got that going for me.
