Contractor backed out of exterior painting. What now? Ready to list?

Had a guy referred to me by word of mouth that was set to paint my exterior wood siding on the cheap. It’s a single level 640sq ft house so not a big job, well at least compared to the average house perhaps.

Our deal was I buy the paint and he’ll get it done over a weekend or whatever. Long story short he stopped replying after I bought $500 of non-refundable paint - I got left on read lol. We’re at 2 weeks of no communication

Anyway, the rest of the house is ready to go / list. The exterior isn’t terrible but in the fair category I would say? Flaking in some spots.

Do I delay listing at this point and try and get other quotes? My worry is I’ll overpay and not see any return on investment here, with painting companies getting into the busy season..

This is for a small cheapish house in a meh area of the city, but also is also more turn key / modern than comparable listings … except the exterior paint!

Just looking for advice on what you would do in this situation.
