Not asking for legal advice but curious to hear thoughts on this. Is it extortion if a tenant does not owe money, the landlord and their lawyer alledge you do, tell you they are going to make you pay for the building's vermin problem even though you have no mice and no evidence a mouse has ever been in your apartment, and that they are going to keep the security deposit, and that they will ruin you financially if you do not move?

Can they then file lawsuits after?
