Finally got to feel a pair of Nick's in person. The smell of the leather, the construction of this boot: SO satisfying. These are beautiful.

But I've got funny shaped, wide-a$$ feet. And after wearing them around the house for a couple of hours, I'm thinking the way this boot is shaped is just not right for my foot.

The ball is perfect, I've got about a thumb up front, and my heel feels great. But that wide instep is bulging out over the edge of the sole, and feels very uncomfortable. Even if the leather becomes more plyable, that bulge in my foot will always sit on top of where the leather wraps under and meets the sole.

The spot really is where all the leather meets. but with that curvature in my foot - do y'all think there's any hope of these fitting properly?

You see it all the time on this sub. Someone places an order, then two weeks later, they're posting about their RTS pick up and how stoked they are for it.

That will never be me, I said.

Then BAM! along comes a boot in MY SIZE with one of my planned second builds???

Turns out, I'm just like everyone else...

Also, so damn stoked to be on my way to wearing my first pair of Nick's in a matter of DAYS instead of months.

Y'all are a terrible influence, and I thank you for it.
