Historic listing data not available/recorded anywhere?

As someone actively looking to buy, I find it quite interesting that a LOT of important data that can indicate a softening market is not available???

In my small NSW town:
Several properties have been on the market for 12+ months.
Recently a few have been pulled from the market altogether.
A few have sold well under asking.
A few have had their asking price reduced.
Some houses were pulled prior to Auction. (So I don’t think they go into the auction results data).

I only know this stuff because I keep a very close eye on the market and it’s a smaller town. Even then it’s hard for me to know when properties get pulled from market, I have to remember they were listed and never showed up as sold. I also have to remember how much they were listed for to know they sold under asking… I don’t get notified when an asking price is reduced always…

None of this information is publicly available… which is a shame because it’s pretty important info.

What’s the deal with that?

Or am I missing something and I can easily get historic listing data from somewhere?
