I am a beginner trying to learn guitar in this video I am practicing D DU UDU — the thing is I don’t know for sure whether my strumming is good because with index finger when I down strum I use the nail part of index finger and for up strum I am using the flesh part of the index finger ( I don’t know exactly which one to use) I am confused about what’s the deal with using index finger correctly can anyone help me me out in doing it properly. I can down strum with thumb flesh part of it but I only want to do with index finger . Any feedback is helpful. I have been wanting to learn guitar for many years finally I took a stab it. It would be really helpful if some came can tell me what’s going wrong with my finger style or the way I am doing it
