
An idea for a little known tidbit of Sonic's lore.
In the Sonic CD intro, and in the Sonic Jam guide, it is shown that Sonic does sneeze whenever danger is nearby. This caused me to get an idea, could this be implemented into an Outcome Memories game?
Now, with the idea that Sonic should ideally be focused on helping his team survive (the Guilt Passive being an example of being punished for failing that), and with the idea of simply copying Tails' own passive being boring, the idea I had was that, if it was a Passive, Sonic's sneeze could happen whenever a teammate is being attacked by an EXE, showing a faint outline of where the Survivor is. That way the person playing Sonic could see where they'd have to go to save their teammate.
However, if it was an ability, I would says that the ability should show you an outline of the EXE for around 5 seconds, 3 of which you can't use either dropdash or peelout, similar to how Kolossos can't use his charge or grab when using his indicator, and with a somewhat noticeable sound cue so the EXE knows they're being seen. Guessing on an appropriate cooldown, I would say the cooldown should scale with the distance the EXE is from Sonic. If the EXE is on the other side of the map, a shorter cooldown of around 15 or 20 seconds seems reasonable, and if they're nearby, a cooldown of 25 or 30 seconds also seems reasonable.
This is my first post to this sub, and I don't exactly have a lot of experience with the game (only 2-3 months of actual playtime), so I'm not exactly sure how balanced such an ability would be. I just think it would be neat to include this small piece of Sonic's lore.
